His Good Word is my personal account of how God is guiding and blessing me through these trying times in my life. Yes, I still struggle daily. But because I've opened The Bible, read His Good Word, and try to practice what He has written, I believe whole heartedly this is why God still holds me in His good graces.
If you're looking for guidance and answers too, open The Bible and start your studies with The Gospel According to Matthew. Reading the New Testament first will help us understand the Old Testament better. This site is new and the postings are few, but will be updated daily as I read the Chapters.
The Gospel of Matthew – The New Testament. Matthew begins with Jesus’ genealogy and birth, then moves on to his miracles, ministry, and teachings. The Gospel of Matthew consists of 28 chapters, which are often divided into seven sections:
Chapters 1–3 and 4-7 introduce Jesus as Messiah and God’s Kingdom,
Chapters 8–10, 11-13, and 14-20 invite people into the Kingdom’s power, and
Chapters 21–25 and 26-28 conclude with Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection.
The Gospel of Mark – The second book of the New Testament. Mark emphasizes the identity of Jesus as the Messiah and the Son of God as well as the nature of His mission. His Gospel challenges readers to recognize Jesus’ true identity and to follow Him with faith, commitment, and a willingness to embrace the path of service and sacrifice.
Chapters 1-16 explain the The identity of Jesus, Jesus' authority and power, the suffering Messiah, the call to Discipleship, the Kingdom of God, the urgency and action, conflict and opposition, the role of faith, Jesus as the Son of Man, and the Passion narrative
The Gospel of Luke – Luke is credited with writing the Gospel of Luke (1-24) and the Acts of the Apostles (1-28). The Gospel of Luke is notable for its emphasis on God's mercy, the role of the Holy Spirit, and the dignity of the marginalized, including women, the poor, and sinners.
Luke writes with historical detail, giving a comprehensive account of Jesus’ life, teachings, death, and resurrection, as well as the spread of the early Church. Luke is often symbolized by the winged ox, which represents sacrifice. His feast day is celebrated on October 18.
The Gospel of John – John the Apostle, also known as Saint John the Beloved and Saint John the Theologian, was a close and intimate follower of Jesus, playing a key role in the early church. His writings - marked by deep theological reflection - provide insight into the divine nature of Jesus, the centrality of love in the Christian life, and the hope of eternal life.
The Gospel According to John (21 Chapters), The 3 Epistles, and the Book of Revelation (22 Chapters), all stand as a testament to his spiritual wisdom and his profound understanding of the mysteries of Christ.
